The Art of Dr. Seuss Comes to Village District
LaMantia Gallery Raleigh in Village District is presenting The Art of Dr. Seuss exhibit. The Art of Dr. Seuss offers an uplifting show and a rare glimpse into the art by this American icon. You’ll see works from every book that he’s produced in classic illustration form, along with sketches behind the work. Thousands of doughnut-loving runners will not be taking to the streets of downtown Raleigh for the annual Krispy Kreme Challenge this year. Instead, the race,which raises money for the UNC Children’s Hospital, has gone virtual. Registration is still open for this year’s virtual event. Runners are encouraged to run during the official race week, February 6-13, but can run anytime they choose. Krispy Kreme doughnut vouchers will be sent to all racers. On February 6, there will be virtual events all day including a costume contest and live chat.
Join in a virtual wine tasting with Winemaker/Sommelier Michael Kennedy, Components Wine Company as part of DRINK’s Week of Wine to support the TWFE and their efforts to raise funds for The Frankie Lemmon School. Michael has worked as Head Sommelier for Chef Eric Ripert, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, where he created one of the top 100 Wine lists in the world. Component Wine Co. Library Wines that will be highlighted during the Virtual Tasting Event with Michael: Semillon White Napa 2018, Petit Verdot Napa 2017, Cabernet Franc Napa 2017, and Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 2014.
