Deck the Halls with Bands of Raleigh

Cookies + Beer with Santa

All brunch long, Trophy Tap and Table will have cookie and beer pairings available (cookies and milk too for the little ones!) They will also be hosting a supply drive for the Boys & Girls Club of Wake County! If you bring a donation on the 15th you will receive a bag of cookies from Trophy’s elves! Santa will be making a surprise appearance during brunch to say thank your for the gifts and to test out a few cookies before his one night of cookie madness. Shop in the European Christmas Market tradition with new and collectible gifts. Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour

This is one of Raleigh’s holiday season traditions that truly brings in that holiday feeling. The 48th annual Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour is an intimate tour of homes decked out in their Christmas finery. Homes featured on the tour date from late-1800’s to mid-1900’s, and range in style from Queen Anne cottages to Neoclassical Revival and Italianate residences. Docents at each stop offer insider information such as the home’s unique features, the family lineage and surrounding community. You are welcome to tour the properties at your own pace, typically allowing three to four hours to view all the featured homes and the neighborhood. The annual Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour benefits the non-profit organization The Society for the Preservation of Historic Oakwood. Day-of tickets will be available at The Tucker House, 418 N. Durham’s Holiday Parade

Check out dynamic floats, hometown bands, drill teams, schools, and community groups as they make their way down Main Street at the Durham Holiday Parade sponsored by Durham Parks and Recreation. The procession will conclude with a guest appearance from Santa. Sarah Krueger, Debra Morgan, Gerald Owens, Kathryn Brown, Ken Smith and Lena Tillett will be on the WRAL float. Shelly A. Green, the immediate Past President & CEO of Discover Durham will be the 2019 Holiday Parade Marshal. Designated performance areas will be located near the following intersections: Mangum and Main streets, Chapel Hill and Main streets, and Duke and Main Streets.
