The Franklin St. Comedy Festival

Check out three sketch groups, 25 improv groups and 50+ comedians for this inaugural event. This festival is focused on bringing together the very best of North Carolina comedy with local, regional and national comedians. This year’s headliner is Judah Friedlander (30 Rock)! Judah Friedlander’s stand-up performance film America Is the Greatest Country In the United States (Netflix, 2017) was named best comedy special of the year by many critics, comics, and audiences. This year in 2019, Judah is on tour with new material with his Future President tour. The festival also features some of North Carolina’s best stand-up comedians such as Brett Williams, Brent Blakeney, James Hodge and Jeremy Alder. Improv teams include the legendary Transactors, Danny Canoe and the all-female group Land Mermaids. They are also hosting out of town groups such as Now Are The Foxes (Charlotte) and Trash Bang (Richmond, VA). Also special guest L.E. WRAL Winter Wonderland

Get free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy some sledding at the WRAL-sponsored Winter Wonderland event. The first 500 people will receive a free Winter Wonderland ornament. Event highlights include meeting your favorite WRAL anchors and reporters, sledding for children of all ages, inflatable play area featuring four large attractions, an arts & crafts area with a make your own ornament section, giant snow globe for family photo opts, ice sculptures, food trucks offering breakfast and lunch, and Durham Bulls’ mascot Wool E. Winter Wonderland at Park West Village

Come share the excitement as Park West Village hosts Winter Wonderland in The District. Kids of all ages will enjoy our Magical Winter Lights Paintscaping, featuring colorful holiday lights broadcast on the front of Stone Theatre Park West 14 Cinema! 75th Annual Raleigh Christmas Parade

A Raleigh tradition for more than 70 years, the Raleigh Christmas Parade is the largest parade of its kind between Atlanta and Washington, D.C. The parade has marching bands, dancers, classic cars, super heroes and more marching through downtown Raleigh for two hours along a 1.4-mile route. North Carolina Chinese Lantern 

Booth Amphitheatre will once again be transformed into a magnificent setting with the return of the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival! Tianyu Culture & Booth Amphitheatre are offering a ticket that can be used on any night of your choosing! The Festival will include more than 20 displays, each one made of hundreds of parts and thousands of LED lights. Annual North Hills Tree Lighting

This year’s Tree Lighting event will feature snow slopes, trackless train rides, kids crafts and activities, a bounce house, and a vendor village. As Santa Claus arrives at 6 pm, the 41 foot Christmas Tree will be lit amidst a joyous chorus of “Santa Clause Is Coming to Town.” Free; Saturday, 3:30 – 7:30 pm; 4160 Main St, Raleigh, NC 27609

Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting Celebration

Join Downtown Raleigh Alliance for the annual Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting Celebration in Lichtin Plaza. Mayor Nancy McFarlane will light the holiday tree, and a variety of performers will fill the stage for the duration of the event. Food Vendors include Che Empanadas, Cousins Maine Lobster, Lucettegrace, Oak City Fish & Chips, along with local beer and wine. Retail Vendors: Marbles Corner Store, DTR Independent Shops, Briggs Hardware, Read with Me – A Children’s Book & Art Shop, Brovelli Oils, Vinegars, & Gifts, Unleashed, the Dog & Cat Store, and Videri Chocolate Factory. The Global Holiday Festival and Market

The Global Holiday Festival and Market is a day of celebration honoring holidays and traditions from around the world. Join dozens of ethnic communities from across the Triangle for a day of food, shopping, entertainment, and community engagement. Kinshop: The Holiday Experience

Join in this one-of-a kind day for the community benefitting The Women’s Center in Raleigh with live music, drinks, holiday shopping, and good vibes. Arts on Market is a bi-annual celebration and shopping event featuring local and regional artists, artisans, bakers, and makers. High Horse is Open

High Horse is a restaurant and bar with two large wood-fired grills visible from the oval-shaped bar and dining room.
