Tasting Event To Celebrate The New Albion Ale

Raleigh Brewing Company was tapped as one of five breweries invited to serve their product at the Smithsonian’s salute to American craft beer, part of Smithsonian Food History Weekend, November 8-9 at the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. Raleigh Brewing was showcased at “Last Call: Brewing History After Hours”, a panel event and beer tasting celebrating a new exhibit, “Brewing a Revolution,” the first display at the Smithsonian to chronicle the history of American craft brewing. This weekend, Raleigh Brewing will host a special event at their hometown headquarters to celebrate their participation at the Smithsonian and to promote the new release of a historically significant beer. Cranksgiving 2019

It’s time for their 6th annual food drive bike ride! Ride your bike for a great cause. They are hauling in food, toiletries, and warm clothes to benefit members of our community in need. They have expand their outreach to more Raleigh residents for this pedal-powered food drive by partnering with the Raleigh Rescue Mission and NCSU’s Feed the Pack Pantry! You are encouraged to bring your bike, lock, panniers/bags, money for groceries, and friends. This event is fun for all riders and abilities. Riders are provided a map, mini-missions to help plan your route, and a list of suggested groceries that will benefit our donation recipients the most. Santa Paws 5K Run

Whether you are looking to beat your latest 5K time, dress up your dog like one of Santa’s helpers, or just enjoy the scenery of Dix Park, this event is for you. Scotch Limited Time Offerings/Small Batches Tasting

Join in a special scotch tasting on featuring limited-time offerings and small-batch scotches. Scotch whisky has a long-standing history and must be aged in oak barrels for at least three years. Cucalorus Festival

This annual festival celebrates independent and international film for five days at various venues in historic downtown Wilmington. Cucalorus is a multi-disciplinary arts organization supporting emerging and innovative creative professionals through film, performances, and more. More than 20 years in the making, Cucalorus has since grown into one of the largest film festivals in the South. Festival programs focus on dance, music videos, emerging artists, social justice, works-in-progress, and international cinema. Cucalorus education and outreach programs include Global Perspectives, Works-in-Progress Lab, Latino Lens, Media Literacy, and Racial Rewind. This Raleigh tradition for over 30 years is considered the area’s premier and most original shopping event. Pop-Up Raleigh

Lafayette Village Lighting of the Tree

Ready to kick off that Holiday Spirit? Start with the Tree Lighting ceremony in North Raleigh’s Lafayette Village Sponsored by Stansell Density. Santa will light the tree in the courtyard at 5:30 pm! There will also be carolers, a dance scene from the Nutcracker, special performances from local schools, and dozens of specials from village merchants.
