1ST Annual Feast of the East

If all-you-can-eat barbecue and oysters sounds good to you, then you won’t want to miss the Feast of the East. Join the community in the park to celebrate the second anniversary of the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park with live music and delicious food. Your ticket will provide entrance to the event, all-you-can-eat food, and two drink tickets. North Carolina Whirligig Festival 

At the 15th annual Whirligig Festival, find more than 200 vendors, four stages of entertainment, food, the Whirli-Kidz Zone, the Whirligig Warrior course and competition (featuring local American Ninja Warrior competitors), and extreme inflatables. 5K and 10K Whirli-Run

The 5K and 10K are returning this year thanks to the Wilson Endurance Club, host of the Whirli-Run 5K or 10K! A majority of the proceeds will go to Diversified Opportunities, Inc. to support the WhirliDogs culinary training project, where workers with disabilities work and learn. $25 – $35; Saturday, 8 am; Wilson, NC

Sip and Savor: A Wine, Food and Music Experience

Sip + Savor showcases 30+ 30 of the Triangle’s restaurants, sommeliers, on-stage experience with live music, VIP Lounge, and more. All three levels of the venue will be open for you to engage with restaurants and wineries in addition to an on-stage experience. Additionally, there is a VIP ticket holders Johnson Lexus President’s Club with rare and specialty spirits, beer and wine. The VIP experience offers a private entrance and restrooms for guests. This event benefits SEEDS, a local nonprofit founded in 1994. SEEDS is a two-acre urban garden and kitchen classroom in the heart of Durham. Fall Oyster Roast

Join at theMandolin Farm for a traditional North Carolina Oyster Roast marking the beginning of Fall. They’ll be cooking wild NC oysters over an open fire and serving them with the traditional accompaniments and seasonal dishes from our farm, along with a selection of beer and wine. Wine and beer will be available for a supplemental fee. A Nightmare on Academy Street

In the year 1900, the Pasmore House first opened its doors as a boarding facility for students of the original Cary High School. 119 years later, now Cotton House Craft Brewers, some of the paranormal activity would suggest there are souls of students that never really left. Join in the Pasmore House Haunting. There will be fire performances at the top of every hour by the fierce, Lady Chelfire, an electric Violin by Matt Bell, food from Cousins Maine Lobster, and special beer released. Carolina Artisan Craft Market
