Wide Open Bluegrass

N.C. Pride at Night Festival and Celebration

Their mission is to provide awareness, education and financial support resources to LGBTQ communities at large. 30 years ago Raleigh’s first Gay Pride celebration was held on Sat., June 25, 1988. Participants, numbering over 2,000, gathered at the N.C. State’s Memorial Bell Tower on Hillsborough St. and marched to Capitol Square. Farmers Fall Festival

Celebrate the fall harvest with the farmers of the Cary Downtown Farmers Market. The event includes farmers, craft booths, a beer garden, food trucks, lawn games, a pie eating contest, live music and a kids performance area. Saturday, 9 am – 3 pm; West Chatham St, Downtown Cary

International Folk Festival

Join in Downtown Fayetteville for the 41st International Folk Festival. On Saturday at 10:30 am, the Parade of Nations commences followed by seven cultural performance areas, arts and craft vendors, and Rockplosion! The Ultimate Tribute Band and the International Cafe. The festival continues in its entirety on Sunday, with Praise in the Park concert beginning at 1 pm and a culminating headlining performance by powerhouse vocalist Yael Hilton at 7 pm. Head to the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park for the sixth season of Beats and Eats, a fun outdoor event featuring homegrown music, food trucks, and specialty drinks.
