The Dude Abides Movie Party with The Big Lebowski

This is one of my top favorite movies! Celebrate with costume contest, trivia, nihilists, and the Folgers can. The Dude still abides in this cult favorite from the Coen Brothers. Jeffrey Lebowski (Jeff Bridges) is assaulted by home invaders who have mistaken his identity. The crime draws Lebowski and his social circle of eccentrics into an escalating series of bizarre events. Put on your bathrobe, pour yourself a White Russian, and don’t forget to bring a rug (it really brings the room together). $8/Members, $10/Nonmembers, free/Children 6 and under; Saturday, gates: 6 pm, movie: 8:30 pm; 2110 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh, NC 27607

Free Solo at NCART

In the tight-knit free climbing community, Alex Honnold is a legend. On June 3, 2017, he accomplished a free solo climb of the 3,000-foot granite wall of El Capitan in Yosemite without protective equipment, arguably the greatest feat of climbing in human history. Filmmaker Jimmy Chin, himself a climber, led a team to record Honnold’s ascent. Check out this adrenaline rushing movie on the big screen. Friday, 8 pm; 2110 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh, NC 27607

SLT Opens in Cameron Village

The one thing I missed when I moved here from los Angeles, was my megaformer workout. My prayers have been answered! SLT meaning “Strengthen. Lengthen. Tone.” will have me and you toned in no time soon. The SLT workout incorporates cardio, strength training, and the most challenging elements of Pilates. I am not gonna lie, it’s the hardest workout out there, but the most fulfilling! Founded in 2011, Raleigh is now SLT’s 25th location in seven states. So, head to Cameron Village for the best 50-minutes of your day and a community that supports you in reaching your goals. Friday; 445 Daniels St, Raleigh, NC 27605
