Vintage Market Days is an upscale vintage-inspired indoor/outdoor market featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home décor, outdoor furnishings, consumable yummies, seasonal plantings & more! The Market is a three day event in varying communities throughout the country and each Vintage Market Days is a unique opportunity for vendors to display their talents and passions. The Great Puppy Parade

Calling all good boys and girls! This is the first Annual Great Puppy Parade & Bar Crawl down Fayetteville Street. There will be adult beverages for the humans, and treats for the puppies and its all for a good cause. They will be raising money for Cause for Paws. Your ticket is good for one human and one Doggo. Includes two drinks, puppy treats, the chance for prizes and surprises, and a $5 donation to Cause for Paws. All doggies must be kept on a leash at all times. Spring Into the Arts Walk 2019

Artists will set up in Wendell’s historic downtown district and beyond  Wendell Boulevard and Second Street. You are invited to watch the artists in action. There will also be a sidewalk chalk demonstration working from 10 am – 2 pm on at the Women’s Club Lot, as well as sidewalk chalk for kids to create their own art! Free; Saturday, 9 am – 4 pm; 15 E. Durham International Jazz Festival

The Aiken Bluegrass Festival

Bluegrass royalty, Del McCoury Band, will headline the 15th Aiken Bluegrass Festival. The two-time GRAMMY winner, celebrating his 80th birthday this year, is at the top of a bill that brings the three-stage festival back to the roots of bluegrass, while simultaneously celebrating the future of the genre. The full lineup includes red-hot Billy Strings, Keller Williams’ string band collaboration, Keller and the Keels, the 14th ABF appearance of Larry Keel Experience, hard-drivingHorseshoes & Hand Grenades, groovy and soulful Cris Jacobs, the dynamic voice of Lindsay Lou, and rowdy North Carolinians, Town Mountain.  Brad Parsons & Starbird, Kitchen Dwellers, Tenth Mountain Division, Kyle Tuttle Band, Benny Galloway, Artist-at-large Zebulon Bowles, DJ Bontzilla, and Doug & The Henrys round out the lineup. In addition to performing, Benny Galloway will return as main stage emcee, along with new emcee, Kyle Tuttle. The Aiken Bluegrass Festival is known for unique collaborations and this year is no exception as Billy Strings’ Psychedelic Circus returns with help from the Cris Jacobs Band. In addition, ABF will host Terrapin Mountain for the “Old and In The Way” tribute, a special-guest-loaded full band set from Kyle Tuttle, and the new and improved Campfire Stage, hosted by Benny Galloway, will host performances right in the campground. On-site tent camping is available, as well as a deluxe RV area with power, water, and sewer. Primitive RV sites (no hookups) are also available. For those not wishing to camp, the city of Aiken has many lodging options at a variety of price points. Thrive NC

A two-day event featuring 50 of the area’s top chefs and restaurants. Each night will include chefs performing live demos, samples from local restaurants and breweries and live music. Last year’s service project featured saw more than 100 volunteers packing 600 bags for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Backpack Buddies Program, which helps provide more than 2,300 children with nutritious groceries for a weekend when free school breakfast and lunch are not provided. Longleaf Film Festival, an annual juried festival that highlights the stories that connect us all.
