Bull City Strong Day

The Durham Bulls will host Bull City Strong Day on in response to the accidental explosion that took place in Durham on April 10th. First Responders will receive a complimentary ticket to the 10:35 a.m. contest, and a portion of ticket proceeds from the initiative will be donated to the Durham One Fund. Bull City Strong Day is presented by Advance Auto Parts and Batteries. In addition to complimentary tickets for First Responders, 200-level tickets and Outfield Reserved tickets will be priced at $10 for the event. The Durham One Fund will receive a portion of ticket proceeds from the initiative, as the fund will help rebuild lives impacted by loss, injury and disruption. Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance

The 17th Annual Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance is a music lovers’ paradise with a family-friendly atmosphere. The festival features Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, Donna the Buffalo, and Zach Deputy and over 50 more performers this spring. Shakori Hills GrassRoots offers a selection of programs and workshops in the fields of sustainability, music and dance, movement, and the healing arts. Many types of yoga and meditation are offered throughout the weekend and you can work on your salsa, clogging, or Zydeco dance skills. The Kids Tent offers dozens of arts and craft programs. Live in the District

Park West Village, a 100-acre mixed-use development in Morrisville, is hosting a live music series every Thursday night through June 13. Live in the District will bring the best artists from around the Triangle to perform in an outdoor venue perfect for relaxing with the whole family.
