Live & Local Spring Fest 2019

Hear, see, eat, and drink local at Live & Local Spring Fest 2019! This festival is a community festival presented by Artsplosure in partnership with Live It Up! Hillsborough Street. Join your community in celebrating the unique art, music, food and beer of North Carolina. Come out to Hillsborough Street for an afternoon of performances on the Live & Local Main Stage, a Kid’s Zone with performances and craft activities for the youngest members of our community, as well as a food truck rodeo and craft beers from our friends at Raleigh Brewing. Lebanese Festival

Spring Fling Adult Egg Hunt at Dix Park

Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon that celebrates the kid in all of us: The (kid-free) Spring Fling at Dorothea Dix Park – a field day for adults! Bring your friends (21+) and get ready for an epic Egg Hunt with 15,000 eggs, inflatables, and lawn games. Keep in mind! There are no bathrooms in Dix Park and no access to drinkable water, so plan to bring a water bottle and come prepared to only have portajohns available. Walking in grass may be necessary so please dress accordingly! Bring a picnic blanket and your own lawn games, or play ours. Durham 150th Tap Takeover

To celebrate Durham’s birthday — and the city’s diversity — the city’s seven breweries brewed a beer with a local Durham partner. On Friday, The Glass Jug will put all beers on tap. On Saturday, Fullsteam will do the same. Some beers you can grab include: Ponysaurus Brewing and Dashi (Szechuan Peppercorn Ale); Starpoint Brewing and NanaTaco (Tortilla Mexican Lager); The Glass Jug Beer Lab and Durham Distillery featuring Conniption Gins (Belgian Witbier with Gin Botanicals); Bull City Burger & Brewery and Durham, N.C. Southern Women’s Show

Shop, sample and share the fun at the Triangle’s favorite event for women, returning. Discover hundreds of boutiques filled with the latest fashions, trendy jewelry, gourmet treats, health and beauty, and so much more. Besides the incredible shopping, you can enjoy fashion shows, top chefs, and celebrity guests. Meet celebrity guests Monte Durham from TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress on Friday at 1 pm and Actor and Producer Tyson Beckford on Saturday at 1 pm on the Fashion and Entertainment Stage. 4th Annual Mid-Town Square Spring Festival

Glenwood Faire: A Taste of Glenwood South

The Glenwood Faire: A Taste of Glenwood South is an annual fundraiser to benefit our wonderful community outreach organization, Saint Saviour’s Center. Saint Saviour’s Center is dedicated to our community. They provide The Diaper Train, Meals on Wheels, and many more community services! Glenwood Faire will showcase 15 restaurants, retail shops, and service providers based in the flourishing Glenwood South neighborhood of Downtown Raleigh. Lonerider’s 10th Anniversary Celebration

Special beers will be pouring all day long including our anniversary beer Lonerider X, fan-vote winner The Preacher, and Peanut Butter Sweet Josie! There will also be live music throughout the day, a photo booth, and food trucks! This is also your opportunity to grab a bottle of Lonerider X to take home. This extremely limited bottle release will be a collector’s item beer lovers everywhere will envy. Look for sneak peaks on our Instagram page as we get closer to the party! At Lonerider, community and philanthropy have always been cornerstones. To continue our dedication we are hosting Beers for Beagles VI as part of our 10th Anniversary. For every pint of Peanut Butter Sweet Josie we sell, $1 will go to the Triangle Beagle Rescue. Though Beagles may be the featured pup, all leashed dogs are welcome to this event. Durham Bulls Opening Weekend

Welcome back the two-time defending IL champion Durham Bulls in their first home series of 2019! There will also be post-game fireworks on Friday night, plus food trucks. On Opening Weekend at the DBAP, they will kicking off a season-long celebration of the 150 years of innovation since Durham’s incorporation. The Durham Bulls will be rebranding to the Durham Tobacconists, an ode to the first professional baseball team in the city, Saturday night and four other dates throughout the season! On Sunday, the 2019 Durham Bulls players and coaches will be signing autographs before the game! Children will be able to run the bases after the game. 2nd Annual APS Durham Pints for Paws

Join us at our 2nd annual Pints for Paws craft beverage event. Sample a selection of local beverages from Durham-based craft brewers and vendors while The Rusted Rails perform. It all Benefits the Animal Protection Society of Durham. Meet the local brewers and staff while you sample a wide mix of unique brews. Enjoy live music, local food trucks, and bring your crowd-friendly dogs (on leash of course!) to our unique family-friendly event. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Animal Protection Society of Durham to care for animals in need. This event promises to find the intersection of craft beverage and animal lovers.
