Raleigh Christmas Parade
A Raleigh tradition for more than 70 years, the Raleigh Christmas Parade is the largest parade of its kind between Atlanta and Washington, D.C. The parade—filled with marching bands, dancers, classic cars, super heroes and more— marches through downtown Raleigh for two hours along a 1.4-mile route that draws a crowd of 60,000 spectators. North Hills Tree Lighting
This year’s Tree Lighting event will feature snow slopes, trackless train rides, kids crafts and activities, a bounce house, and a vendor village. As Santa Claus arrives at 6 pm, the 41 foot Christmas Tree is lit amidst a chorus of “Santa Clause Is Coming to Town.” Activities include kids crafts; snow my yard sledding slopes; trackless train rides sponsored by Wells Orthodontics & Renaissance Dental Center; bounce house; face painting & balloon twisting sponsored by Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical; and visits with Santa. Waverly Place Tree Lighting & Holiday Concert
‘Tis the season to be merry! This year’s Tree Lighting, presented by Johnson Subaru of Cary, is jam-packed with holiday fun! Arrive early for dinner, then make your way to The Park area for a special holiday concert from The Embers featuring Craig Woolard Music, kicking off at 6 pm. Mayor Harold Weinbrecht of Cary will take the stage just before 7 pm to introduce Santa and count down to the tree lighting. Little ones will be able to greet and take photos  with Santa throughout the evening. Parents and family are welcome to bring a camera and take photos of our special guest. You can also expect tasty treats and beverages offered by Waverly Place restaurants and retailers (with the addition of Uncle Bob’s Nuts), check out aerialist acts, and take pics in the festive photo booth. Artspace Gala 2018
Celebrate creativity at the Artspace Gala! Join in an evening of fine art, food and fun to benefit Artspace and the Triangle arts community. Bid on artwork in the Live and Silent Auctions while enjoying elegant small plates and specialty cocktails. Proceeds from the Collectors Gala benefit the Artspace Inspiration Fund, providing our community with opportunities to experience the creative process and engage with artists. North Carolina State University Crafts Center Holiday Crafts Fair
Celebrating its 34th year as a university tradition, the Holiday Crafts Fair features only the work of the university’s Crafts Center artists and craftspeople. You’ll find locally made pottery, wood, glass jewelry, fiber arts and more, plus explore the studio spaces where works are created and hear the story behind each piece. Friendsgiving at Whitaker & Atlantic
Grab a friend and join in a family-style Thanksgiving dinner featuring PoshNosh Catering’s menu and a variety of Beaujolais Nouveau wines! In the spirit of giving, they’re donating a portion of the proceeds to the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina. If you love the dinner and wines featured, you’ll be able to order it all for Thanksgiving and pick it up the week of Thanksgiving. Pop Up with NC Oyster 365 & Bull Durham Beer
The holidays are quickly approaching and it’s only a matter of time before that holiday stress sets in! 2018 Brewer’s Ball
CFF Finest Honorees are recognized and honored at the culminating Brewer’s Ball event. Celebrating its sixth year in 2018, the Brewer’s Ball is an evening featuring the finest in brews, cocktails, food, music, and difference makers in the community. Pop-Up Raleigh
This monthly vintage + art market is held at Trophy Brewery and Taproom on Maywood Avenue and includes food trucks, beer, sweet treats, fresh popcorn and more. Over 50 artists and craftspeople from around North Carolina (most from the Raleigh area) and some vintage vendors with a one-of-a-kind clothing and funky finds will set up shop inside and outside the brewery. Pop-PupAlooza Dog Park
During this pop up event, dogs will be allowed off leash. There will be plenty of fun for dogs and their owners! The dog park features four acres for dogs to roam, and a small dog area, too! For the humans, food and beer vendors will be at the park making sure you stay fed and hydrated while you play with your best friend. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, and anything else you need to keep yourself and your pooch cool and comfortable! There will be fun raffles for pet (and human) prizes every 1/2 hour! Santa Paws 5K & Fun Run
Join the SPCA of Wake County for the largest certified, competitive, dog-friendly race in the Triangle — with a touch of holiday spirit. The Santa Paws 5K is for serious runners (USATF sanctioned, timed) and for recreational runners who just want to dress up their dogs and have fun! Love animals, but think running a 5K sounds exhausting?
