Taste of China: Chinese Cuisine & Culture Festival
Authentic Chinese ethnic cuisines from different regions of China will light up your day and comfort your stomach. Enjoy continuous entertainment including the dragon and lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, folk and traditional dances, musical performances, children’s pavilion activities, Chinese culture and history booths and more. Festifall
Chapel Hill’s annual celebration of the arts transforms Historic West Franklin Street into an extraordinary opportunity for the community, art enthusiast and artists to interact. A variety of performing arts and vibrant market shops of handmade artworks present a day of discovery for the festival’s attendees as they engage with the local art community. Hilltop Fall Festival
The Hilltop Festival celebrates and ushers in fall. It all begins on Friday night with the annual Race for the Gold Soapbox Derby. Individual teams compete under the lights for the trophy and bragging rights for the next year! Bright and early Saturday morning cyclists and runners line up to compete in the Tour de Pumpkin bike ride and Overmountain Victory Trail 5k. The Overmountain Victory Trail 5K provides participants an opportunity to follow in the brave footsteps of the Overmountain Men and their historic Revolutionary War march through Rutherfordton and runners take a similar path around downtown. The Tour de Pumpkin bike ride, sponsored by the Rutherfordton Outdoor Coalition, includes both 100k and 50k rides. After the race shop from vendors, get your face painted, try the rock walls, inflatables, pony rides and more. There will also be live music and food. Duck Jazz Festival
The Duck Jazz Festival returns to fill the Duck Town Park with music and fun. The event showcases national, regional and local jazz musicians on two stages. Free; Saturday & Sunday; 1200 Duck Rd, Duck, NC

2018 Brunch Festival
This all-you-care-to-taste Brunch Extravaganza gives you a souvenir glass that will facilitate all your drinks. Enjoy brunch samples from over 15 of the Triangles hottest brunch spots and smell and taste the sausage and bacon griddles (food served until 2 pm). The Almost Famous Bloody Mary Bar will feature all of your favorite toppings and fixin’s for you to build your own masterpiece; The Boozy Coffee Bar will have hot and iced coffee drinks; dueling Mimosa Bars will feature fresh squeezed juices and lovely sparkling bubbles for your pleasure; Pink Playhouse featuring rosés from around the world and enjoy a great selection of 60+ beer, spirits and wine. 8th Annual Korktoberfest at Raleigh Wine 
Raleigh Wine Shop is holding its 8th Annual Korktoberfest  with special discounts on wine, provisions, accessories, and apparel throughout the store! Carolina on My Mind Benefit Concert and Sir Walter Smoke Off
The Carolina Cavalry is a grassroots disaster relief and supply chain organization with over 3,100 volunteer members. The newly formed non-profit has set a goal to raise $250,000 for disaster response efforts. There will be a concession area, kid zone, and silent auction. Splurge on one of the package tickets and enjoy N.C. best barbecue teams as they compete and you get to judge. Nashbash Block Party in Raleigh
Whiskey Kitchen and Imurj are hosting a new block party, Nashbash, on Sunday. The street will be blocked off and there will be a stage, local artists, vendors, makers, charities, a dunk-a-chef booth, food and beer. The music schedule includes: DJ Spcl Gst and friends (12 pm), Pat Jr. (7 pm), and Kooley High (8 pm), Skeeter Washington and the BloodSuckers, Just Archie, Maj Deeka, and Ace Henderson. Whiskey Kitchen will be cooking up food on their patio and in the street and Terrapin Beer Co., Elijah Craig and Live Life Live will be there too. Nashbash will raise money for Nextstepraleigh, The Foundation of Hope and Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Ride your bike and Oaks and Spokes will watch it while you party with a cause. BBQ & Friends
TROSA’s 4th Annual BBQ & Friends, co-presented by Sysco Raleigh, features a selection of food from more than a dozen Triangle chefs and eateries. Live music will be provided by bluegrass Americana folk group Up Cane Creek. Create Make and Take crafts with The Scrap Exchange. Porkapalooza
The Root Cellar Cafe & Catering is hosting its annual Porkapalooza festival at its new Pittsboro restaurant at Penguin Place. To celebrate its seventh year, the porktastic celebration offers small plate creations, featuring locally raised pork from Hickory Nut Gap and Sharp Family Farms, served casually indoors and outdoors, rather than a traditional seated dinner. Enjoy the food in the dining room of the Root Cellar, on the restaurant’s large shared patio, and inside the bar of neighboring business House of Hops, which offers beer specials for purchase throughout the event. In addition, this year’s celebration includes free live music on the patio, cornhole and other games for kids and adults of all ages. In the wake of Hurricane Florence, The Sunday Supper™ has partnered with Chef Scott Crawford of Crawford and Son on relief events to benefit the small businesses so vital to North Carolina’s hospitality industry and thriving economy. The “Come Together for the Coast” has celebrated chefs and restaurateurs, including Ashley Christensen, Vivian Howard, Vansana Nolintha, and Jake Wood, headline the dinner at The Dillon. Experience signature dishes from the Triangle’s most prominent chefs, enjoy music from BJ Barham of American Aquarium, and have the opportunity to participate in both silent and live auctions.
