A Recipe from the Ground Up: Dinner with Dan Barber and Row 7 Seed Company
Join in a seed-to-table dinner celebrating the first harvest of Row 7 Seed Company, hosted by Andrea Reusing and Dan Barber. Enjoy a feast prepared by the some of the region’s best chefs, who have been working to connect local farm partners with tastier, more nutritious and sustainable crops. The menu will showcase new and experimental vegetables—all bred for deliciousness—a celebration of innovation in the field and on the plate. Florence Relief Dinner
The Durham is hosting a Florence Relief Dinner to support NC FIELD Farmworker Emergency Fund. Chefs and industry partners will come together to prepare a four-course family-style dinner with cocktails from Alley Twenty Six, beer from Ponysaurus Brewing Company and wine from The Durham. The chef team includes David Alworth from Guglhupf; Gray Brooks from Pizzeria Toro; Teddy Diggs from upcoming Coronato Pizza; Aaron Ford from The Durham; Matthew Kelly from Mateo bar de tapas; Phoebe Lawless from Scratch Baking; Ricky Moore from Saltbox Seafood Joint; Andrea Reusing from The Durham; Carrie Schleiffer from Alley Twenty Six; Bill Smith from Crooks Corner; and Sam Suchoff from The Pig. 100% of proceeds will go directly to basic necessities for displaced farmworkers and their families in Eastern, NC. $60; Monday, 6:30 pm; 315 East Chapel Hill St, Durham, NC 27701; 919.768.8831

Kingfisher Pop-up at Crawford & Son
Crawford and Son invites you to be some of the first to experience Kingfisher, Sean Umstead’s Durham-based cocktail bar opening late 2018. During this pop-up, Umstead will serve spirit-free cocktails with proceeds supporting Ben’s Friend’s – a support group aimed at helping those in the hospitality industry who struggle with substance abuse and addiction, co-founded by Chef Scott Crawford. Groove in the Garden
Groove in the Garden is back for year four at Raleigh Little Theatre’s beautiful Stephenson Amphitheater. The annual music and arts festival shines the spotlight on some incredible local talent—the 2018 lineup features N.C. artists and bands including Lydia Loveless, Loamlands, Pie Face Girls, Kate Rhudy, ZenSoFly and more. Raleigh Night Market
This event showcases Raleigh’s creativity under the beautiful lights and cobblestone streets of City Market. Find locally-made goods and enjoy a night filled with music and entertainment with over 30 Triangle area artisans, food vendors, beer, wine, and cocktails. SkillPop will be hosting a cookie decorating class with Southern Sugar Bakery, LLC. Enjoy local brews and cocktails, including a special sour by the hour as they’ll be tapping a specialty sour beer each hour.
