CycleBar North Hills Raleigh Back to School Blast
CycleBar North Hills Raleigh, is hosting a four-day Back to School Blast to get you excited about group fitness in the triangle. On Saturday, from 11 am – 2 pm, they are having a block party and at 1:30 pm, there is a free ride class. On Sunday, from 9 am – 1 pm, shop the small pop-up market with a 1:30 pm, there is a free ride class. Anyone who takes a class during these four days gets a free ticket to the Summer Daze Music Festival on August 18th. Follow CycleBar North Hills Raleigh’s Instagram for updates. Adult Nights: Natural Selections
Join North Carolina brewers at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences for our fifth annual Natural Selections event on Friday, August 17. Enjoy this one-of-a-kind evening of beer and science among the Museum’s dioramas. Sample unique creations fitting the Museum’s natural science focus from more than 20 North Carolina breweries. Enjoy hands-on science of beer activities, games and live music. Vote for your favorite beer during the event and award the third annual Natural Selections People’s Choice Award to one lucky brewery. Movie by Moonlight–Jurassic Park
The City of Raleigh is pleased to be partnering to continue the successful Movies by Moonlight series at Dorothea Dix Park. Ty’s All Natural, Taco Grande and Mr. Softee Ice Cream will be joining us at the park. The movie will be in Flowers Field. The best park entrances to use are Hunt Drive off of Western Boulevard or Blair Drive off of Centennial Parkway. SPARKball 2018
Help keep SPARKcon big, weird, and free with SPARKball, the first ever fundraiser for the Triangle’s creativity festival! This glitzy and fun evening includes beverages, food, dancing, and a ton of SPARKcon themed events. The festival’s 14 creative disciplines will preview activities they have planned for SPARKcon 2018, including on-demand poetry, face painting, circus performances, musical performances, and dance-offs! Tacopalooza
Food Truck Rodeo is serving up the best tacos in the triangle! Join in an afternoon of taco-themed everything! There’ll be a competition amongst trucks for best taco themed dish and you can vote for your favorite, in the People’s Choice Competition! There will also be Taco Piñata for the kids breakdown, arts and craft vendors and taco eating competition! Food trucks include Medley, HOLY MOLE, La Republica Food Truck, El Rey del Taco, Qspresso Food Truck, Bandido’s Mexican Cafe, Boricua Soul Food Truck, Las gringastacos, Poblanos Tacos and More, The 13th Taco, Succotash Durham, Hot Chix Hotcakes, And Chicken, JAM Ice Cream, Cocoa Forte, with beer provided by Vecino Brewing Co.
