Mother’s Day at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar
They will be opening early to celebrate moms with a three-course brunch menu featuring delicious classics like Fleming’s Signature Surf & Turf Eggs Benedict and Cinnamon Apple Brioche French Toast. Light the Woods with Sound
Head to Dix Park for a first-of-its-kind sound and light show in the beautiful oak trees of Flowers Field! Watch as musicians produce beautiful music and neon lights dance in the trees. Local visual and neon artist Nate Scheafer created 384 neon light tubes which will hang in the trees of Dix Park. Connected to a theremin, an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact, artists will perform songs and musical interpretations that will Light The Woods with Sound. Each night will feature different performers, different musical themes and different experiences – no two nights will be the same! Beer & Bark Bonanza
Cause for Paws of NC is partnering with Raleigh’s newest brewery, 1323 R&D, and Fuzzy’s Empanadas to bring you this spring fundraising festival. Bring your own pup–or come in search of a new furry family member–all while enjoying fun music, lots of local vendors, a silent auction, beer from R&D, and freshly handcrafted empanadas made with locally sourced ingredients. Vendors include Bull City Boutique, Custom Tags and Design, Crazy About Vinyl, GerDan Chocolates, LuLaRoe, Norwex, Paparazzi Accessories, Sally Daisy Ink, Sit Means Sit Dog Training, The Monogrammed Hound, The Pampered Boutique, and Trice’s Sweet Treats. A portion of vendor and beer sales benefit Cause for Paws, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works with animal shelters around the state to bring unwanted dogs into its foster based rescue group until they are adopted. Thrive NC Festival
North Carolina’s top name chefs, Ashley Christensen and Vivian Howard, are the headliners next month at a new foodie festival designed to link the state’s culinary talent with food challenges facing their neighbors. Enjoy two nights of live music and mouth-watering samples from dozens of top restaurants at Raleigh’s City Market. Spring Into the Arts Walk 2018
Wendell celebrates the arts with this day-long outdoor gala of arts. Join the fun and spend the day meeting artists, watching a sidewalk chalk artist work, and paintings be judged, followed by an artists’ reception and public viewing at 5 pm at Wine and Beer 101 on N. Main St. Beer and wine will be available for purchase, plus light snacks. 37th Annual Mayfest
