Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Wearin’ ‘O the Green Festival
In celebration of the great St. Patrick as well as Irish and Celtic traditions and culture, a parade of dancers, bagpipes, musicians and more march through downtown Raleigh and afterwards continue a day of fun with a full line-up of live music and performances in Raleigh’s City Plaza. Milk Bar’s 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party
Like last year, they’re hosting an epic St. Patrick’s Day Block Party on the street in front of their garage doors filled with beer, food, and live music! This year, they’re honored to put on this party with CASA as this festival will benefit their cause. Rogue Alpha Athletics has partnered with Fortnight Brewing are hosting the St. Paddy’s Day Beer Mile. Experience Fortnight Brews 4-10oz at a time while you run, jog, walk, or crawl the 1 mile-ish course. This is a great way to support local business, drink beer and exercise all at the same time. 3rd Annual Shamrock Shuck
Celebrate with live music (including bagpipes), and an oyster roast provided by Anets Katch on the lawn. For non-oyster eaters they’ll have two food trucks throughout the day: Bam Pow Chow 12-4 pm and Wandering Moose 4-9 pm. All 20 taps will be going in the tap house as well as an additional 8 beers on tap outside in the beer tent. During the Painting 101 Class, you will learn how to makeover your furniture and home decor items using Fusion Mineral Paint. This hands-on experience will have you mastering layering, distressing, and finishing techniques. Learn about paint types, surface preparation, paint application and finishing to assure a lasting finish on painted furniture, home décor and more. Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day here at Spring Haven Farm! The farm will be full of fun, shamrock glow, and springtime cheer as the goats, baby pigs, horses and other animals will be available to interact with and enjoy. Feel free to bring your own beer/wine and enjoy some time in the “Bier Garden” listening to some music and enjoying the day. “Hair of the Dog” Downtown Dog Walk
If you partied hard on St. Patrick’s Day, a little hair of the dog will help you out! Join Second Chance Pet Adoptions at Bond Brothers for a Downtown Dog Walk. When you return to Bond Brothers, indulge in some lunch from the Crispy Gyoza food truck and visit with some adoptable dogs. There will also be raffle prizes, including a pair of Bose SoundSport headphones, a Puppy Pawty basket, and Second Chance swag! Your pup will be rewarded with a homemade gourmet treat from Bone Appetit Bakery. They’ll be donating a portion of their proceeds from the event to Second Chance animals. Culinary Tour of India: Kerala Cuisine
This is a pop-up multi-course meal features the cuisine of Syrian-Malabar, from the Indian region of Kerala. Scrappy Hour
The Scrap Exchange will launch new creative classes for adults in the Design Center in conjunction with 3rd Friday openings in the Cameron Gallery (6-9 pm). The new “Scrappy Hour” classes are designed as a fun way to create unique DIY projects in a social setting. You are invited for an evening of crafting along with your favorite BYOB beverage (beer or wine only). The Scrap staff will provide snacks, materials and loads of creative inspiration. Classes will be taught by local artists and feature projects using locally-sourced reuse materials. The first class, “Upcycled Bags” will be taught by local reuse artist and longtime crafter, Sarah Pai. Live Drum Asana Yoga Flow – Spring Equinox – Bond Brothers Beer
