Boodle Fight + Boodle Night
It’s not a feast, it’s a fine dining FIGHT! Ring in the 2018 at MOFU with a boodle fight? A “boodle fight” is a Filipino Military tradition where a feast is placed on a long table lined with bamboo leaves and every participant, regardless of rank or file, stand shoulder to shoulder and eat together as a symbol of camaraderie, brotherhood, and equality. Of course, the “fight” part refers to the fact that it’s traditionally eaten with your hands and it’s everyone for themselves during the feast. Our MOFU NYE boodle fight will include suckling pigs, roasted duck, grilled lamb, octopus, squid, shrimp and whole fishes, cheeses, traditional Asian desserts, fruits, chocolates, and more! Boodles Gin and non-Boodles drinks will also be included! Want to wear your NYE outfit to dinner, but are worried about the fight? Don’t worry, they provide bibs and disposable gloves. Stay after dinner for Boodle Night, with drinks featuring Boodle British London Dry Gin, beats from DJ Zach Nobel starting at 9 pm, and a champagne toast at midnight. Since we are going into 2018 and 8 is traditionally an auspicious number, tickets are $88.88 each for the Boodle Fight. $8 of each ticket sold will be donated to Haven House, an organization that works with youth and young adults in our community through programs, advocacy and community mobilization. $88.88; Sunday, 7:30 pm; MOFU Shoppe, 321 South Blount St, Raleigh, NC 27601
